California Minimum Wage Moving to $15/hr.

Yesterday, Governor Jerry Brown of California, signed legislation that will increase California’s minimum wage to $15/hr by 2022. Minimum wage will increase incrementally each year.  For employers with 26 or more employees minimum wage is scheduled to increase from $10/hr to $10.50/hr for 2017, and then by $1.00 each year through 2022 (subject to adjustment by the Director of Finance).  For employers with 25 or fewer employees, the increase from $10/hr to $10.50/hr begins in 2018, followed by $1.00 increases through 2023.
